Los próximos días 4 y 5 de febrero (viernes y sábado) de 2022 se celebrará online vía Discord y Zoom el Seminario Online de invierno de la Mythopoeic Society. Este evento contará con la participación como ponente de Mónica Sanz, socia de la STE, con la charla “Tolkien as a Folk Horror Author”.
La Mythopoeic Society es una asociación cultural sin ánimo de lucro estadounidense dedicada al estudio de «la mitopoeia»: la fantasía y la literatura fantástica. El grupo se centra fundamentalmente, pero no en exclusiva, en las obras de J. R. R. Tolkien, Charles Williams y C. S. Lewis. Asimismo es la asociación que estudia a Tolkien más antigua en activo, ya que llevan existiendo desde los años 60 y su publicación Mythlore es muy reputada en el mundo académico.
